2. Austria
Like Switzerland, Austria has many ski resorts and mountains. Rent a chalet and embrace the wintery cold as you sip on your hot chocolate in a cosy blanket near the fire.

3. Lapland
Visiting Lapland is a dream of mine that has still yet to come true. Sledging with the huskies, sleeping in a hut under the northern lights or exploring the many snowy landscapes. Lapland is definitely a February top destination and is probably the closest thing you’ll ever get to an actual Winter Wonderland.

4. Taiwan
Taiwan is for sure one of the least tourist hot spots in Asia and it’s a place with a lot to discover. In the North of Taiwan, there is The Pingxi Sky Lantern Festival, which takes place in February and is a once in a lifetime experience. Over 100 thousand lanterns are released in the sky creating an amazing show.

5. Hawaii
Hawaii is the tropical escape destination you are looking for. With its various islands, you can choose which type of holiday you want! It can be more of an adventure-packed hiking trip or even a relaxed, surfing resort trip!

The best time to go whale watching in Hawaii is from January to March which is perfect timing for a February trip.
6. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Are you a fan of Carnivals? Well, Rio de Janeiro is known for its famous carnival that happens to take place every year in February. (21-26 of February this year)
Dance all night long, learn the Brazilian samba, get to know all the Brazilian traditions and watch the colourful carnival all by visiting Rio de Janeiro in February.
