Quick Photography Q&A!
What gear do I use?
I currently use the Sony a7ii, with a 28-70mm f/3.5-5..6 lens. I use the ROLLEI Compact Traveler Star S1 BK Tripod and my phone is a Samsung A7 2018. My back up camera is a Sony RX100 ii. I edit and work on my MacBook Air (13″, 2015)
What software do I use I edit my photos?
I edit all my photos in Adobe Lightroom and I also use Adobe Photoshop when I need to edit out somethings from my pictures.
How long have I been taking photos for?
I started taking photos for fun back in 2012 when I won a Canon IXUS (my first camera!) from a competition. In 2017, I started my Instagram account @travellouisa and since then I’ve been taking photography more seriously.
What type of photography do I specialize in?
I love landscape and travel photography. I have also started to do more product photo since I started to work with various brands.
My tips for photography beginners
Just go for it! If you don’t own a fancy camera, that’s not a problem! You can use your phone. Remember, it’s not what you take the photos with, it’s how you take them. If you do consider buying a camera, don’t go directly for the most expensive one. Start out with one that’s a reasonable price and see if you like it!
Make sure you’re always shooting in RAW and not in JPEG. Shooting in RAW makes the editing process much easier and flexible.
Try out different photography styles! Ask your friend to do a portrait shooting, take photos of landscapes, buildings and see what you like the most.
